The last two World Cup competitions in Sweden is organized by Kovland/Timrå. The competitors will continue with sprint distance in Timrå near by Sundsvall. We will try continue with some news from there.

2003-02-11 ~21.00 Banquet
The WC competitions in Östersund is finished for this time. The organizer welcomes you, the competitors and the leaders, back to next years World Champion Ship in Åsarna & Östersund. Competitors and leaders ended up at a banquet and prize cermony at "I5" military camp in Östersund.


Eduard Khrennikov got three gold medals, middle, realy and long distance.


Marie Lund and Johanna Maxén, in the Swedish team, wanted to sing and "help" the band, and they did...

2003-02-11 08:55 Long distans WC today
Today it's time for the long distance WC competitions in Östersund. The total climbing is 390 m for women and 590m for men. The competition will start at 10:00. At about 12.40 we will probably know who the winners are. After some days with warm weather its now about -5 degrees and hard tracks.

2003-02-10 20:20 Todays visit in Åsarna
Today WC competitors and team leaders has visited Åsarna, one of the areas for next years world champion ship. The competitors wore allowed to visit the terrain and try the tracks with a map. - "Good to se the accommodation one year before” did the Swiss team leader tell after visiting Åsarna. The Swiss competitors tell that "there are some steep parts in the terrain". Perhaps a surprising comment from a Swiss skier!

2003-02-10 10.40 What happens today?
It’s no competition today. Today WC competitors visit Åsarna, one of the areas for next years World champion ship. They are all allowed to visit the terrain and try the tracks with a map. Åsarna is at about 1 hour travel from Östersund where the WC competitions will continue tomorrow. More about this visit later.
